Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings, enrolments and purchases made through vibezilo for professional training courses in live television production. These services include studio equipment integration workshops, dynamic camera techniques sessions, acoustic optimisation modules, lighting setup training and instruction on reliable production processes for news programmes, interviews and live shows. The policy covers both in-person and online course formats delivered to customers in the United Kingdom.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British pounds sterling. Course fees are inclusive of value added tax at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as printed course materials, certification fees or extended access to digital resources. Any such charges will be clearly itemised before payment is authorised. Prices are subject to change but the amount confirmed at the time of booking will remain fixed for that transaction.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and approved third-party payment platforms. Payment is authorised at the point of booking. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways that comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. vibezilo does not store full card details. Authorisation confirms that sufficient funds are available and reserves the amount for the booking.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A booking is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and an email confirmation is sent to the address provided. The contract between you and vibezilo is formed at this point. The confirmation contains details of the course, dates, location or access instructions and total amount paid. You should retain this confirmation for your records.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel most distance or off-premises contracts within 14 days of the date the contract is formed, without giving a reason. For courses that have not yet started this cooling-off period applies in full. If the course has already commenced or digital content has been accessed with your prior consent, cancellation rights may be limited or lost. Cancellations must be notified in writing to enquiries@salford.ac.uk or by telephone on +44 161 295 4545.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations made within the 14-day cooling-off period provided no substantial part of the course has been delivered. Courses that have been fully or partially attended, digital materials downloaded or personalised services provided are generally non-refundable. Promotional or discounted bookings may carry additional restrictions stated at the time of purchase. No refund is given for failure to attend without prior cancellation.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund you must contact us in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page, by email to enquiries@salford.ac.uk or by telephone on +44 161 295 4545. Provide your booking reference, full name, contact details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Requests received outside normal business hours will be processed on the next working day. You will receive an acknowledgement within two working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision

Each refund request is reviewed against the terms of this policy and applicable UK law. We will notify you of the decision within ten working days of receipt of a complete request. If approved, the refund amount and expected processing timeline will be confirmed. If rejected, reasons will be provided together with any options for appeal or alternative resolution.

Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Reach the Customer

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes between five and ten working days from approval, although bank transfer refunds may take up to fourteen working days to appear in your account. Credit card refunds may appear on your statement within one or two billing cycles depending on your card issuer.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Where a course includes digital content or online access, you expressly consent to immediate performance upon purchase and acknowledge that this may affect your cancellation rights. Subscription-style access to recorded modules is billed in advance and refunds are limited to the unused portion only if cancelled within the cooling-off period. Promotional offers such as early-bird pricing or bundle discounts are non-refundable once the offer period has ended.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

In the event of a failed payment you will be notified and given the opportunity to complete the transaction with an alternative method. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly once verified. Chargebacks or suspected fraudulent activity will be referred to our payment processor and may result in cancellation of the booking and reporting to relevant authorities where required by law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights That Cannot Be Excluded

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These include the right to receive services with reasonable care and skill, to cancel within the statutory period and to obtain redress for faulty performance.
